tea greetings

tea reading vintage postcard

I have never seen another postcard in this tea leaf reading series, but I haven't looked too hard. I think I will try harder in the future. I think it's a neat idea and I love anything about tea. Well, not anything, I am picky about the images and tea I like, but I am a fan, for sure. As evidence by my tea inspired Pinterest board.

The postcard above was sent Kansas on Aug 27th, 1908. It was sent to a Mrs Ira Hicks in Los Angeles from a woman named Belle.  Mrs Ira Hicks noted on the top with a pencil that she responded on Sept 13th.

This sweet card above opens up and has a lovely friendly poem inside and is signed by Mabel Mallory.

Today is Postcard Friendship Friday. You can go to the host blog The Best Hearts are Crunchy and visit other postcard blogs participating.

  3. I'll keep an eye out for you too...although I'm certain I've never seen anything like this before.

  4. I just finished one tall serving of cold tea w/ sinkers (coconut jelly for me). It's a big thing now in the Philippines, especially now that it's summer.

    Now I want another one!

  5. Lovely postcards ^_^ My gran and I used to drink Earl Gray Tea made with leaves and she would read my fortune. It is one of my favourite memories.

  6. What a wonderful card! I can say with certainty that I've never seen the sun in my tea grounds!!! I've never had my fortune told - a friend of mine used to read palms. She took one look at mine and said "NO". I didn't see that as a very good sign, although she did say I would have 2 kids, and I ended up with twins. :=}
