paper hats
I love the way hats make the party a party. I was noticing that in the Valentines Party book I posted about last month.
In this case, everyone made paper hats and that seems even more fun. Something to keep in mind for your next gathering.

Tinted Girl - Postcard Friendship Friday
Sat.
Welcome Home Children, Wonder when you will arrive. So anxious to see you both.
Edna J Bush
Tomorrow afternoon we are going to Vic's and stay for supper, so should you return then you'll know where we are.

No date on this postcard. Must be around the turn of the 20th century, though. This is has just been listed in my shop.
I am glad to be able to participate in Postcard Friendship Friday today, now hosted by The Best Hearts are Crunchy blog. Visit her blog to see all the other posts for today.

love postcard 1967
I had to get this postcard when I found it among a lot of other postcards from twenty years earlier. It so encapsulates 1967 and the depth that people gave to things like this. I remember seeing postcards like when I was a kid in Pier One and other places hippes hung out (yeah, Pier One used to be almost like a head shop).
It has many holes in it, indicating that the recipient did indeed get why she sent it and held on to it for a long time.
